Bigsby on the Sea

This was our only warm and sunny day of the trip. Of course we
were only there for 18 days, and it was July. I hear it's nice in the
summer. Crazy tides in this place. The land bridge is just becoming
visible out to the island. Later in the day that area is almost a half
mile wide! When we first got to the beach we were 50ft from the water.
By the time we got to low tide (I think) the water was a 10 min walk
away!!! Truly amazing. The white building on the left is the Hotel. The
building on the right is the Pub, established 1350. It's quite odd to
be sitting in a 650+ year old Pub listening to people being dropped off
at the Hotel by Helicopter. Didn't even ask the the rates...
